The Los Angeles Galaxy recently held a special class for Carson school kids. But the club didn’t teach the elementary school students about soccer — but about cooking.
The Galaxy teamed up with Herbalife Nutrition last week to host a Thanksgiving cooking class for more than 60 students from Leapwood Avenue and Annalee elementary schools.
The cooking class, at the Dignity Health Sports Facility, featured chef Matthew Linblom, members of the LA Galaxy and the team’s mascot, Cosmos — who handed out cannolis to the students.
The class, which took place on Nov. 16 — about a week before Thanksgiving — was meant to teach children how to prepare a holiday meal.
